Google brings back Android Dev Summit with Android 18 ‘powerful new graphics features’ tease

Google is bringing back Android Dev Summit after four years — and immediately teases powerful graphics features in Android 18. The developer conference will take place in 2026. It was last held in 2022, so the pause has been noticeable. Android 18 is already on the agenda. Judging by the announcement, the focus will be on graphics — meaning game and UI developers should expect new APIs. Everything can be checked at the conference itself, but it's better to prepare for the release in advance. Google clearly wants to win back the community's attention.
